Introduction
Dr. Isaac is a clinical chaplain, counselor, trainer, and author with more than 35 years of experience serving individuals, families, healthcare professionals, and communities. His work spans healthcare, corporate training, ministry, and community organizations. He specializes in whole-person care and brings experience in trauma, Med-Surg, and ICU chaplaincy, grief and bereavement, and ethical decision-making in healthcare. His professional practice, corporate experience, and academic studies also inform his work in emotional care, mind-body medicine, faith and resiliency, team building, caregiver self-care, and emotional health. He equips healthcare professionals with practical approaches to self-care, as well as tools for working with difficult patients and families while maintaining warmth, compassion, and care under stress.

​Dr. Isaac’s work spans healthcare, pastoral ministry, corporate training, and community organizations. He specializes in whole-person care and has experience in trauma and intensive care chaplaincy, grief and bereavement, end-of-life care, and ethical decision-making in healthcare.

Throughout his career, he has provided professional development in crisis intervention, emotional and spiritual assessment, caregiver support, resiliency, burnout prevention, conflict resolution, team dynamics, and interpersonal communication. He has delivered more than 5,000 hours of professional training and educational programming.

Dr. Isaac holds graduate degrees in counseling and theology and is the author of three books exploring relationships, faith, and God’s love.

Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
Isaac James Schaeffer, Ed.D.Min., PCC, CPE, is a graduate of the Clinical Pastoral Education program at CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, Texas. He completed four units of CPE, specializing in Trauma ICU chaplaincy and advanced grief and bereavement care.

His clinical training included spiritual assessment, crisis intervention, grief counseling, end-of-life care, and culturally responsive spiritual support for patients and families. His advanced education and professional formation in community pastoral counseling, practical ministry, and theology developed additional competencies in whole-person pastoral counseling, spiritual care, and compassionate support during times of crisis, loss, and transition.
