Recognizing the many expressions of grief, responding with compassionate presence, and helping people navigate loss without rushing or minimizing their experience. Participants also explore spiritually integrated practices that foster resilience, meaning-making, and hope while honoring personal limits and entrusting outcomes beyond their control to God.

Understand how trauma affects the nervous system, physical health, emotions, relationships, and spiritual well-being of patients in mission settings. Participants develop practical ways to promote safety, trust, stabilization, and compassionate care while respecting culture, honoring spiritual concerns, and avoiding retraumatization.
Evidence-informed tools for recognizing compassion fatigue, managing chronic stress, establishing healthy boundaries, and sustaining emotional and spiritual well-being in high-stress mission settings. Participants develop practical rhythms of renewal, supportive connection, and spiritual grounding that strengthen resilience and help them serve faithfully without assuming responsibility for outcomes beyond their control.
